Jaipur Rugs Company Chairman & Managing Director Nand Kishore Chaudhary felicitated at the most prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2010
Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary (NKC) bagged the only global business award of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year-Start Up 2010. This award commemorates and encourages the most resilient of Indian entrepreneurs. NKC’s innovative thinking and entrepreneurial success became synonymous of his victory. He was chosen among the 18 deserving legendary business leaders of today such as Emami, Hero Honda Motors, etc.
The celebration banquet of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year®was held at Taj Palace, New Delhi. 350 people attended it.
The jury and their judging criterion “I am delighted to be associated with these awards, which are known for their rigorous and transparent selection process. We received an excellent quality and number of nominations this year. The jury considered parameters which combined ambition with pragmatism; goal orientation with adaptability and growth with impact,” said Mr. Damodaran. The jury had a careful selection procedure with a record 312 nomination received this year. E&Y’s self nomination-based award and its short listing process was conducted by its stupendous list of jury members. The jury chairman was Mr. M. Damodaran, former chairman of SEBI, IDBI, UTI. The rest of the members included Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai (HSBC India); Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal Hero Corporate Services); Mr. Dalip Pathak (Warburg Pincus); Mr. P.R.S. Oberoi (The Oberoi Group); Mr. A. Vellayan (Murugappa Group); Mr. Sanjay Nayar (KKR India) and Mr. Rajiv Lall (IDFC).
