The story of rural India is left half untold.
From the thorns in the wool to the quality of yarn to an incredible heirloom for your home, it creates a link between generations of spinners and artisans with a dream of self sufficiency, a spirit of freedom and independence
Bhanwari channels centuries of Indian heritage through her hands, spinning the yarn on a charka (spinning wheel), with a meditative flow. She started spinning with her mother-in- law and now her daughter-in-law takes after her.
These women are breathing archives of timeless craftsmanship who turned the vicious cycle into wheels of fortune.
Salute to these three generations of strong women!
